Mother Teresa of Calcutta urged those who desired to follow in her footsteps to "Stay where you are. Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering, and the lonely right where you are—in your own homes and in your own families, in your workplaces and in your schools." During Calcutta in Our Community: Missionary Training Ground, adults, and families will be equipped to share their faith with others, have opportunities to practice their faith in prayer and devotion to the Eucharist, and engage in boots-on-the-ground care for others in our local community.
Calcutta in Our Community will meet on 6 consecutive Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30pm, beginning April 5th to learn, prepare, and go share the faith in word and in the flesh through prayer and works of mercy. We will launch from St. Casimir's parish at 626 West Broadway each of those nights; food will be provided.
This mission is planned intentionally for families to participate in together. Young adults, retirees, and singles are warmly welcome to participate.
